Sad to hear the Chesire Cat Pub burned down this morning. It was a good place to go to meet with friends. To Dustin and Crystal, their great staff, all the loyal patrons as well as the various assortment of bar flies (and their bar bunnies)… my condolences 🙁

They are now on my ‘bands to see’ list.  Hopefully The Smiths reunite too.  C’mon Morrissey!

WHY WE LOVE

Heard this song driving to an yet another appointment a couple days ago. I have heard it before but never really listened to it. Many, many interpetations of the lyrics abound. The one about the lotus flower and Odyssey’s men is as haunting as the lyrics, melody and look of Thom Yorke in this video.

The lotus flower is a symbol of beauty, strength and perserverence. This is the first time I have listened or read where the lotus flower is a symbol of pain, addiction, sadness.  I would much prefer to keep in my thoughts the positivity the lotus flower represents.
